Daulton Wilson led all 40 laps to claim the $7,500 payday at Cherokee Speedway last night holding off Donald McIntosh and Drake Troutman.

12 Late Models would take time with top time honors going to Wilson as he would go on to win his heat race as well to earn the pole position starting spot. McIntosh would win the other heat to earn the outside front row starting spot.

Jonathan Davenport brought a brand new Longhorn and qualified fifth. He would finish third in his heat race and decided to call it a night to save his equipment for Charlotte.

When the green flag waved for the 40 lap Prelude to The Finals Wilson jumped out in front and only had one real challenge for the lead. "The Big Perm" would cruise to the checkers by almost two seconds over the runner up McIntosh.

Drake Troutman , who finished third , was in the Chris Bragg owned Longhorn Chassis that Ethan Dotson raced earlier in the season before moving to Coltman Farms Racing team. The young driver from PA has been a hot topic for someone to put him in a national series car. Could this combination be a preview for next season?

Gray Parton and "Thugg Nasty" Logan Roberson rounded out the top 5 as only 9 cars would start the main event. Along with JD loading up David Yandle and Dan Stone also would scratch for the feature. Jordan Koehler would finish 6th as he was the only other car to finish the feature
