It's hard to believe that Bobby Pierce hasn't been in World of Outlaws victory lane since Sharon Speedway in July but Pierce broke his small drought last night at Spoon River. Pierce passed Brian Shirley on lap 26 and went unchallenged the rest of the way. Jason Feger took runner up spot two seconds behind the winner. Shirley would take the final podium spot to make it a full complete Illinois podium sweep.
25 cars took time with Ethan Dotson making the fastest lap around the speedway. He would win his heat race along with Pierce and Shirley.
Dennis Erb drew the pole and would lead the first 4 laps in his new Rocket XR2. Brian Shirley would pass Erb and lead until Pierce passed him to lead the rest of the way to snag the win.
Nick Hoffman would finish fourth after being forced to his backup car after engine issues in qualifying. Tanner English experienced rear end issues while running fifth to ruin his strong run after winning at Highland the night before.
Last night's win gives Pierce his 26th overall win in 2025 and his 39th career series win. The World of Outlaws goes to Maquoketa, Iowa tomorrow for $20,000 to win.
