Tyler Millwood added his name to the Summer Nationals win list by passing Jason Feger to earn his first ever tour win. The Georgia driver took advantage of lapped traffic to make the winning pass then stretched his lead out to take the win. Feger held on to second after contact with a lapped car. Shannon Babb took third.
35 drivers made the trip to Lasalle with Carson Brown taking fast time honors. Heat race winners were Trey Mills,Tyler Erb, Dillon McCowan, and Feger. McCowan drew the pole after the redraw.
Feger would use his outside front row starting spot to lead the first lap. He would hold the lead until Tyler Erb took the lead. Terbo was going after three wins in a row but could not hold off Feger as the 25 went back to the lead a lap later.
On lap 20 the yellow came out and on the restart Erb's night came to an early end as he retired from the race. Feger would continue to lead until lap 35 losing it to Millwood while in traffic.
Millwood in his XR1 Rocket came from tenth starting spot utilizing the outside and lapped traffic to make his winning move. Millwood's win has him sitting second in the Week 4 point standings for that $10,000 bonus.
The Summer Nationals goes to Red Hill Raceway for $10,000 to win. Will we see another first time winner tonight or will a familiar face be in victory lane?
