Chris Madden backed up his Saturday's Southern Nationals win at Wythe by winning last night's Scott Sexton Memorial. He passed leader Garrett Smith on lap 38 then held off both Marlar’s to win the $7,552 payday. Mike Marlar would finish runner up while brother Camaron charged from 15th to take third.
31 Late Models signed in with Madden topping the field in qualifying. The race honors East Tennessee driver Scott Sexton that passed away in 2013.
Garrett Smith fired from the outside pole and led until "Smoky" passed him on the 38th lap then slipped further to finish sixth.
Mike Marlar has shown strong finishes in last several races picking up wins in Kentucky and Ohio ended with another strong run last night.
The mini series continues tonight at I-75 with another $7,553 payday.
