Moran Crusies to Slocum Win at 34 Raceway

Devin Moran has been on quite a roll lately. Fresh off his Lucas Oil win at Muskingum , Moran took the lead for good from Tim McCreadie on lap 14 to take the win. At one point he was ahead of runner up Hudson O'Neal by three and half seconds. O'Neal in his return to SSI Motorsports finished second holding off Daulton Wilson.
31 Lucas Oil Late Models took time with Garrett Alberson topping everyone. Moran topped Group B qualifiers. Heat race winners were Tim McCreadie, Earl Pearson Jr , Moran , and Jonathan Davenport.
T-Mac took the lead at the start of the race as he is still trying for his first win with the Rocket1 team. Him and Moran would swap the lead a few times before Moran took control and Timmy slid to finish sixth.
Hudson O'Neal started sixth and quickly moved up and at one time was behind leader Moran before his RR started giving out on him. It's definitely been a whirlwind week for the driver and SSI team as they transition from RTJ to O'Neal.
Daulton Wilson came from 9th to finish on the podium. He was running some of the fastest laps on the track but was too far behind the leaders.
Ricky Thornton Jr picked up the hard charger of the race with his new team Koehler Motorsports moving from 13th to finish 4th. He had his familiar 20RT on the car that team owner's son , Jordan , usually runs.
The series is rained out tonight at Tri - City after the track received too much rain from the remnants of Hurricane Beryl. They will race at Lucas Oil Speedway tomorrow night for the Diamond Nationals in Wheatland , MO
