Dale McDowell wins his FIFTH GOBBLER tonight
at Boyd's Speedway worth $10,000.

Home-track driver Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, Ga., led all 40 laps from the outside front row Saturday at Boyd's Speedway, cruising to $10,000 victory in the 34th annual Gobbler. McDowell notched his second Valvoline Iron-Man Racing Series victory of the season and third of his career.
Utilizing Jensen Ford as his crew chief this weekend due to his car being tore down and getting ready for the 2023 season, Mack McCarter finished 2.424 seconds back behind McDowell. Cory Hedgecock advanced six positions and finished third. Filling-in for injured Dalton Cook, Michael Page gained nine spots and finished fourth in the No. 44D.
Polesitter Michael Chilton finished fifth. He enters next weekend's season finale at 411 (Tenn.) Motor Speedway with an insurmountable points lead, as he seeks his second career Iron-Man Racing Series championship.
Cameron Weaver advanced six spots and finished sixthRay Cook finished ninth in the Joe Denby-owned Capital Race Car. Jimmy Owens gained 10 positions and finished 11th in the Richard Austin-owned Robert's Trucking Capital Race Car.
Saturday's feature, the penultimate stop on the 2022 Iron-Man Southern Series schedule, was slowed by two cautions and lasted 16 minutes, with 19 competitors completing 40 laps.
