Jason Feger picked up his 35th career Summer Nationals win last night at the 3/8 mile Red Hill Raceway. Feger led over half of the race after passing then leader Dillon McCowan. McCowan would settle for second with third place going to Mark Whitener.
33 UMP Late Models were on hand to race for the $10,000 payday. Once again young Carson Brown set atop of the leaderboard after qualifying lowering the track record.
Heat race wins went to Feger,McCowan, Tyler Erb, and Millwood. After the redraw Tyler Millwood drew the pole. After getting his first career series win the night before at Lasalle the Georgia driver was hoping to go back to back. His night was not as successful and finished 15th after losing his spoiler.
McCowan used his outside front row starting spot to blast out to the early race lead. Feger settled in behind him patiently running the bottom to save his tires as McCowan was running the top side. Feger would say in victory lane that he knows this place is hard on tires and he waited for McCowan to start losing grip to make his move.
Feger leads both the week 4 points and the overall points heading into tonight's $10,000 to win at "The Class Track" Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana.
