Davenport Leads Every Lap at Eagle

After nearly winning Thursday night Jonathan Davenport leads all 40 laps from his outside front row starting spot to take the $10,000 win last night at Eagle. Hudson O'Neal and Kyle Bronson filled out the Lucas Oil podium finish.

35 Lucas Oil Late Models were on hand last night with Jonathan Davenport starting his perfect night by topping the qualifying charts. Tad Pospisil topped Group A qualifying and won the first heat to start on the pole for the main event. Bronson,JD,and Brandon Sheppard won the other heat races.

The outside cushion was the place to be last night and Davenport would later say he used a late race caution to catch his breath as he said "that's about all an old man can do"

Hudson O'Neal charged from 13th to claim the runner up spot while Bronson ran as high as 2nd before settling for 3rd. He and Ricky Thornton Jr were battling hard for 2nd when the Lucas Oil point leader made hard contact with the wall breaking the steering rack in the Koehler Motorsports Longhorn.

Tonight is the final night at Eagle paying $50,000 to the winner
