In the last Summer Nationals race at Clarksville Brandon Sheppard will go down as the final Hell Tour winner at the track. Sheppard led all but one lap from his outside front row starting spot. Pole sitter Jason Feger took the runner up spot. Dillon McCowan would round out the podium.
33 Late Models filled the pits with Rodney Melvin topping the qualifying chart. Melvin would win his heat race along with Feger, McCowan, and Sheppard.
Pole sitter Feger was going for his third tour win a row but could not stay in front of Sheppard in the family B5. Sheppard has been good all week but could not finish the night in victory lane until last night. His consistent finishes, all on the podium, propelled him to win the week three championship. The weekly point champion earns a $10,000 bonus.
Jason Feger leads the overall points and extended his lead over last year's champion Tyler Erb. Erb struggled last night and finished 16th in the A Main.
The series travels to Arkansas to visit Old No. 1 Speedway. Roughly a four and half hour trip from Clarksville. The track ran an efficient program with the checkers waving around 10:15 even after a rough couple of heat races resulting in several accidents.
